Project Description

Reichesdorf, in German reich means rich

Richiş was first written of in 1283 under the name of “villa Richvini”.

Richiş was a rich village (hence the name Reichesdorf; in German reich means rich). It was rich because of the noble wine produced in this area. Nobility of the wine was then given by 3 characteristics: quality,  to have a strong and harsh taste and to be white.

At Richiş there is a very interesting Gothic basilica over 500 years old
